Who we are

Big Thinkers is an educational platform for children and families. We collect and use information differently depending on whether the user is under 13, 13–17, or an adult (parent, teacher, or administrator).

Information we collect from children

• Age screening result (under 13 vs. 13+)
• Account name, login email, and password (after verifiable parental or school consent)
• Course progress, lesson activity, and streak data
• Persistent identifiers used for authentication and first-party analytics only

We do not collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary to provide the educational service.

Parental consent

For users under 13, we obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information. Parents may review, export, revoke consent, and request deletion of their child's data from the parent dashboard.

Third parties

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Stripe — subscription billing (parent/educator accounts only)
• PostHog — first-party analytics (no behavioral advertising to children)
• Vercel — application hosting

Retention

Incomplete parental consent requests are deleted after 90 days. Daily activity records are retained for 24 months. Account data is deleted when a user or authorized parent requests account deletion.

Your rights

Parents and users may export their data or delete their account from Settings. Parents linked to a child account may download or delete their child's data from the parent dashboard.
